Sisters western spirit is reincarnated at rodeos throughout the state, where traditional affairs such as bull riding, steer wrestling and livestock competitions are often paired with contemporary festivities, including concerts from big-name country entertainers, dog shows and super-cool contests (think craft beer and ski jumping).
In Sisters, a simple pair of cross-country skis can launch you into thickets of snow-laden trees, silent white meadows and tracks running parallel to frozen creeks. Our nordic centers are a sure way to get on the snow quickly and start discovering the state’s winter wonderland.
Hiking: Whether your goal is “Summit or Bust” up the side of a fourteeners or a lazy creekside amble, Sisters has hundreds of miles of hiking trails that are just your speed. Sisters trails are easy to access and lead through diverse landscapes — wildflower meadows, colorful cliffs and canyons, swaying grasslands, rushing waterfalls and much more.
